The large and private outside balcony area has views over the lush gardens the two pools and to the shimmering Mediterranean sea which is only 700 metres away from the apartment. The balcony has circular dining table and 4 comfortable dining chairs in dark rattan style in addition there is a 2 seat sofa and 2 armchairs also in dark rattan style.
We have also provided an iron and small ironing board, a clothes airer, professional hairdryer, beach mats, a cool bag for beach trips/excursions, and a football, pump and cones for those football fanatics.
Further details outdoors
The Aphrodite Sands resort and spa is visually stunning managing to merge traditional and contemporary architecture effortlessly. There are two large pools surrounded by sun terraces with complimentary sun loungers and parasols with the beautiful lush planted gardens situated around the pools. A children’s play area is provided in one of the lawned areas of the gardens.
As a guest of Aphrodite Sands you have full exclusive use of the luxury spa and fully equipped gym. including sauna & steam room, a small charge may apply. There are also many beauty treatments on offer which are paid for separately.
All this should make for a wonderful relaxing holiday while at the resort, then you can go and explore Paphos and Cyprus at your leisure.

Accessibility
The apartment is situated on the first floor and there are steps, however they are wide and not steep but may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. The resort is set in a level location and the surrounding area is virtually flat, there are no hills so it is easy to get about around the local area.
Outside
The apartment has a generous sized private balcony with views over the pools and gardens and to the Mediterranean. We have furnished the area to take full advantage of the wonderful year round climate Cyprus offers. With large rattan style circular dining table and 4 comfortable chairs, in addition there are two armchairs, two seat sofa and coffee table in dark rattan style. The balcony has outside lighting. You can watch the sunset with your favourite tipple. The resort boasts two wonderful pools separated by a large water feature, there are sun terraces with sunbeds and parasols for you to soak up the sun surrounded by the beautifully landscaped gardens with views to the Mediterranean. At the side of the pools steps lead you down into the sanctuary of the luxury spa and gym, with everything you need for total relaxation and lots of pampering. If your feeling more energetic hit the gym which has all the latest state of the art equipment.
Coast/Beach
The natural and unspoilt local beach at Mandria is only a few minutes easy walk, or just a 2 minute drive. The beach is made up of coarse sand and pebbles, there is a recently opened make shift bar. You will need transport to get to other beaches including Paphos where there are a few little beaches in the area known as Kato Paphos. Other beaches to visit, Coral bay to the west and Pissouri to the east are approx a half hour drive. Within a 1hr drive are Polis and Latchi all have good beaches.
Golf
For golfers Cyprus and Paphos in particular will cater for your needs perfectly. With three superb courses all close by. Secret valley and Aphrodite Hills are only 5 and 10 minute drives respectively. You can literally go from Airport to Apartment to golf course within 1 hour. Blessed with year round sunshine Cyprus is becoming a great alternative to the usual Mediterranean golf destinations.
Skiing
Skiing is possible in the Troodos mountain range in the winter months usually January/February. Cyprus is unique in being one of only a handful of destinations around the world where you can ski, then be at the beach and swimming in the sea the same day.
Special interest holidays
There is so much more to Cyprus than just the fantastic climate, and if you are looking for other interests you may be surprised at what you can get up to. For serious walking you can explore the European long distance path E4 which covers most of the island. Cyprus is also perfect for Diving having one of the longest dive seasons in the Med due to the high sea temperatures. If you have a car for your trip you may wish to follow the many designated wine routes a great way to see the rural areas and of course taste some of the local product. How about something on 2 wheels, you can hire mountain and road bikes at reasonable rates supplied with all the equipment you need. You may just fancy exploring the local area which is not too strenuous or go for something extreme you can book a professional tour which will again take you through some great locations not accessible by other means. Add to the list skiing in the winter months in the mountains there really is something for everyone.
Travel
The new Paphos international airport is only ten minutes by car/taxi from the resort so car hire is not essential, but would recommend if you want to explore the Island. The local bus runs everyday except Sunday from Mandria into Paphos. Larnaca airport is approx 90 minutes drive. Taxi transfer can be arranged at preferential rates for our guests, ask us for more details.

Further details
Mandria village has a mini market and 6 really good tavernas/restaurants, there is also a large supermarket at village entrance. . There is a petrol station at the main road junction to the village. As the village and the surrounding area is so flat you may consider hiring bikes which is great fun and could be an alternative to hiring a car. There is also bicycle hire available in the village .
