Ha Potami is situated on a hill overlooking the sea. Surrounded by open countryside with the valley separating the Secret Valley resort from Aphrodite Hills Resort. Both resorts have their own golf courses less than 10 minutes away!
If its peace and quiet you're looking for, with stunning views, a beautiful climate, and everything you could possibly want so you don't even need to leave your own front door, then this is the place. 
On the other hand, if you want to sample the delights of the local villages, where there are festivals throughout the year with music and dance, and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal, often with local entertainment thrown in, then there are numerous small villages within a 15 minute drive.

There are several restaurants and bars around the Village Square, including a Greek and Cypriot Taverna, sports pub and bar, Italian pizza and pasta, coffee shop and a Chinese restaurant. Location Information: The villa is a 10 minute drive from Paphos Airport. The nearest beach is 5 minutes at Aphrodite’s Rock. Pissouri Beach is a 15 minute drive and Paphos town and Harbour 20 minutes with a huge variety of restaurants, shops and nightlife. The nearest village is the traditional Cypriot Village of Kouklia it has several traditional restaurants and a convenience store. Aphrodite Hills Golf Resort and Spa is 5 minutes away with several smart bars and restaurants. Secret Valley Golf Course is a 3 minute drive away. This is one of the most established in Cyprus and there are stunning views from the club house which is available to non golfers for food and drinks during the day. The villa is close to a number of historic sites including the famous mosaics in Paphos, Curium an ancient roman town complete with amphitheatre. The stunning villages of the Troodos Mountains are easily reached. The picturesque fishing village of Latchi on the northern edge is an hour drive away.

The Paphos region
Cyprus is one of Europe’s favourite holiday destinations. With friendly English speaking locals, excellent food and wine and over 5000 years of history not to mention its many fabulous beaches. The climate is good all year round with July-August being the hottest months of the year. Best time to visit for Golf is between March-June and September-December. 
Cyprus has many fine archaeological sites including at least 3 Amphitheatre’s where theatrical performances and concerts take place during the summer.

Old Paphos
Old Paphos, now the site of Kouklia a five minute drive from Secret Valley, was seated on an eminence, at the distance of about ten stadia from the sea, on which, however, it had a road stead. It was not far distant from the promontory of Zephyrium and the mouth of the little river Bocarus

New Paphos
New Paphos (Nea Paphos), the currently inhabited town, was founded on the sea, near the western end of the island, and possessed a good harbour. It lay about 15 km northwest of the old city and Secret Valley.

Today Paphos, with a population of about 47.300, is a popular sea and a fast developing tourist resort, home to an attractive fishing harbour. It is divided into two major quarters: Ktima, on the sea terrace, is the main residential district, and Kato Pafos, by the sea, is built around the medieval port and contains most of the luxury hotels and the entertainment infrastructure of the city. The harbours of Paphos are not so important: the normal shipping goes via the harbour of Limassol. Just as is the marina of Paphos for fishing and other kinds of interest.

Walking
Walking is a pleasant way to spend time in Cyprus especially in the spring and autumn. 
Coastal walking is very scenic near to the villa and the Troodos has several marked trails encompassing rivers, forestry and ravines. 
The Akamas peninsular also has trails starting from Aphrodite’s Baths west of Latchi and Polis and of course it is interesting merely to wander around the villages.
